The Challenge

AirTerra’s model was built for scale, but success would depend on clarity. The offering was complex, the market crowded, and the competition entrenched. A360Z was brought in to develop a brand system, investor narrative, and digital presence that could communicate the vision simply and powerfully, making it easy for retailers to understand, trust, and adopt a new kind of supply chain partner.

Verbal + Visual Identity

The visual identity started with a logo that captured movement and transformation. The mark, inspired by the Delta symbol, represents change in motion, an idea central to AirTerra’s mission. Within the form, a hidden “T” connects air to earth, reinforcing the company’s name and purpose. The supporting visual system included four service-specific icons, each reflecting a unique offering through stylized geometric forms.

UX/UI

User interface elements were designed with intent, using a signature orange line to guide users through the experience. Whether appearing as a scroll indicator, progress bar, or subtle animation, the line echoed the company’s role as a point-to-point transport partner. Dozens of custom icons extended the illustration language across the site, creating visual consistency and a strong sense of brand unity.

Illustration

To stand apart from traditional logistics brands, we developed a set of abstract 3D illustrations that simplified complex services into elegant forms. Boxes, trucks, and planes were reimagined as geometric shapes that could combine, shift, and move—supporting storytelling without relying on stock imagery or clichés.

Experience Design

The website was built to inform and convert. Supporting tools like a quick quote calculator and robust FAQ section helped translate innovation into action. The continuous orange line created a cohesive thread through each interaction, tying together brand, product, and user flow into one seamless experience.

Advertising Treatments

Just six months after launch, AirTerra began shipping nationwide. A360Z was tapped to translate the brand into motion for high-visibility LED billboards in Times Square and the Las Vegas Strip. We developed 3D animated stories that brought AirTerra’s offerings to life using the same abstract language from the web experience—now scaled up to skyscraper size.

The Results

In less than two years, AirTerra scaled from concept to acquisition. In 2021, the company was acquired by American Eagle Outfitters, becoming a key piece of the retailer’s logistics strategy. The brand we helped shape from day one now powers delivery for one of the largest apparel companies in North America.
