Algorithmiq is a quantum software company pioneering applications in life sciences, molecular simulation, and computational chemistry. Working alongside Cleveland Clinic and IBM, the team used superconducting quantum hardware to model photodynamic cancer therapies — highly targeted treatments activated only by specific wavelengths of light.
As the company advanced into the final stages of Wellcome Leap’s Q4Bio Challenge, the stakes became clear: communicate exceptionally complex work in a way expert evaluators could immediately understand, trust, and compare under pressure.
Algorithmiq
Andromeda is building the first decentralized, on-chain operating system designed to simplify and accelerate blockchain development. With a modular framework and seamless multi-chain compatibility, Andromeda empowers developers to build, launch, and scale Web3 applications faster and more efficiently. Its mission is to serve as the foundational layer for the next generation of decentralized innovation.
The Challenge
Algorithmiq’s work sat at the intersection of quantum computing, molecular chemistry, and biomedical research — an area where scientific sophistication can quickly become difficult to communicate, even to highly technical audiences. The team was competing in the final stages of Wellcome Leap’s Q4Bio Challenge for a $2M Phase III award that would directly fund continued research into quantum-enabled cancer therapies and molecular simulation.
The challenge was not simplifying the science. It was making the significance of the work immediately clear under intense technical evaluation. Our role was to help ensure Algorithmiq’s breakthroughs were not only impressive, but unmistakably understood.

Presentation Strategy + Design
A360Z worked closely with Algorithmiq’s technical leadership to understand the science deeply enough to make precise communication decisions. We focused on how the information would be experienced by judges, researchers, and scientific evaluators with limited time and high cognitive load.
Rather than reducing technical rigor, the goal was to structure the information so the strength of the work became visible faster.
We developed both a high-compression judge-facing presentation optimized for evaluation environments and an extended technical version designed for deeper scientific review.

Much of Algorithmiq’s work involved concepts that are inherently difficult to communicate through raw technical material alone. Quantum workflows, molecular interactions, hardware scaling, and photodynamic therapy processes required visual systems capable of translating complexity into immediate understanding.
We created a library of custom diagrams, scientific illustrations, comparative graphics, and presentation visuals designed to support rapid comprehension without sacrificing scientific integrity.

The Results
Algorithmiq became the sole recipient of the $2M Phase III award in Wellcome Leap’s Q4Bio Challenge.
The work was recognized alongside collaborators including IBM and Cleveland Clinic, validating both the technical achievement itself and the team’s ability to communicate frontier scientific research under rigorous evaluation.
The final presentation system helped transform highly specialized quantum research into a clear, persuasive narrative capable of resonating across scientific, technical, and strategic audiences.
